About Waseelah
One app to help you find beneficial things happening in the Ummah, near you — without relying on social media algorithms.
Why Waseelah Exists
Muslim communities rely on scattered WhatsApp groups, Instagram stories, TikTok clips and random flyers just to find out what’s happening locally. People miss classes. Parents can’t find trusted tutors. Businesses stay hidden unless you follow the right page. Waseelah was built to fix that. One simple, halal-conscious platform — without the noise, the algorithm, or the fitnah.
What Does “Waseelah” Mean?
“Waseelah” (وسيلة) is an intermediary, a means, a way, a path that brings you closer to something. This platform aims to be a means for the Ummah to find beneficial classes, events, teachers, services and more, to support each other easily and without distraction.
Our Mission
To connect Muslims to beneficial opportunities around them — classes, events, youth activities, teachers, charities and trusted services — all in one place. Not just to list things, but to help Muslims actually take part in what is beneficial for their dīn and their community.
Our Story
Islamic events and classes were happening all around us, but finding them was a problem. Information was scattered across WhatsApp chats, flyers, and social media — easy to miss, hard to track, and often discovered too late. Many Muslims avoid social media to protect their imaan, but that also meant missing out on beneficial reminders and local opportunities.
Waseelah was created to solve this: a clean, distraction-free space focused only on what benefits — organised by date, time and distance, with reminders, maps, and sharing features. What started as a way to find classes, now supports much more — events, courses, teachers, youth activities, businesses, charities and more — strengthening the Muslim community and the Muslim economy.
Any good in this is from Allah alone. May He place barakah in it and protect it. Āmīn.
